Michael Tober
Michael Tober is the Director of Religious Education for Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish and teaches religion and theology at Sacred Heart Academy. Married with five children, Mr. Tober and his family have been parishioners of Sacred Heart since 2006. Mr. Tober holds a degree in Theology from Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio, as well as a Master Certification in Catechetics in the Diocese of Grand Rapids. He has been teaching, and working in pastoral ministry, mostly in the Grand Rapids diocese, for the last fifteen years. Previously, Mr. Tober spent a year with NET Ministries in 1999-2000, and served the Church in various ways including work as a parish youth ministry volunteer, the Director of Youth Ministry at St. Mary’s Parish in Spring Lake, and the K-12 Director of Campus Ministry at Muskegon Catholic Central in Muskegon, MI. In 2010, he co-founded a Catechetical Apostolate named Catechetical Foundations which currently presents the “Authenticum” lectures in the Grand Rapids Diocese hosted at Sacred Heart Parish. Mr. Tober is a passionate lover of all things Catholic, and spends much of his time studying the Word of God. He is also an avid outdoorsman, using whatever time he can to hike, camp, fish and hunt. Some of his favorite authors are St. Paul the Apostle, Benedict XVI, Saint Pope John Paul II, J.R.R.
