We look forward to seeing you at Sacred Heart Parish in Grand Rapids. Dr. Daniel Wagner, professor of Philosophy at Aquinas College, will kick-off our 2018-19 Authenticum Lecture Series. The title of his lecture is: “Aristotle on Nature (φύσις/phūsis): Ancient Source of
Catharsis for the Lived Nihilism of Modernity”.
Dr. Wagner holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University
of St. Thomas. His most recent publication is titled Thomas
Aquinas: Teacher of Humanity. He is the current chair of
the Philosophy department at Aquinas College, and is the
Co-founder of The Society for 21st Century Thomism. His
professional interests are Philosophy of Nature and Science,
Metaphysics, Philosophical Anthropology, and the
principles of ethics in St. Thomas Aquinas and Aristotle.
The lecture is scheduled to be outdoors in the Sacred
Heart Parish courtyard. Hotdogs & brats will be on the grill
along with the normal wine & cheese social. This is a lecture
you won’t want to miss. All adults of every age are
