Parish Hospitality

Home / Parish Hospitality

This group welcomes the new and the old members of the parish, fostering socialization and community building through conversations after Mass outside and in the parish hall. Conversations can naturally occur around a meal or cup of coffee so we seek to facilitate that!

  • Sunday Coffee and Donuts – Making the coffee, picking up the donuts and setting up, tearing down from each Mass to allow for socialization and community building around a good cup of coffee and sweet treats.
  • Food/drinks/decorations for other parish events.

Inclusive of but not limited to the following liturgical celebrations:

  • All Saints Eve – Attend the Vigil Mass for All Saints dressed as a saint and following, there is a potluck dinner in Cebelak Hall, everyone dressed up is judged on their costume and then after dinner children go to the gym to play saint related games.  Everyone goes home with a very large bag of candy!
  • Corpus Christi Procession – On the Feast of Corpus Christi after the 11:30 am Mass we process through the neighborhood singing hymns with stops at several homes to pray. Parish potluck grill-out follows in the courtyard.
  • Resurrection Party – This potluck party takes place after the Easter Vigil in Cebelak Hall.
  • St. Joseph’s Table – With roots in Italy, during a time of famine St. Joseph was invoked to help with successful crop yields.  In gratitude, the townspeople honored St. Joseph with Mass and a celebration.  Sacred Heart does the same and honors St. Joseph and all fathers with a potluck featuring pasta, bread and wine all following Mass.
  • Celebrations of Marian Feasts – Special liturgies, May Crownings, processions, parish celebrations.
