This Thursday:
Mr. Zach Good Dean of Faculty & Curriculum at Sacred Heart Classical Academy in Grand Rapids, MI will give the next Authenticum lecture. The title of his lecture is: The Descent of the Gods: The Planets and the Catholic Imagination.

Mr. Good is a graduate from Hillsdale College where he double majored in Classical Studies and English. Mr. Good has taught students in 5th through 12th grade. Besides his duties as Dean, Mr Good presently teaches literature, Latin, and courses in the humanities. Through studying the works of Shakespeare, Dante, Bl. John Henry Cardinal Newman, and the Church Fathers, Mr. Good became convinced of the truth of the Catholic Faith and entered into full communion with the Church in 2009. Mr. Good lives with his wife, four children, and usually a few dozen chickens on a hill in the woods of Ada, Michigan.

The December Lecture is scheduled to be in the Parish Gym. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with Wine & Cheese Social. Lecture begins at 7:00 p.m. This is a lecture you won’t want to miss out on. All adults of every age are invited. Invite friends and family! We hope to see you December 6th.

Join us for our February Authenticum Lecture this Thursday, February 6. We will welcome Dr. Aaron Sanders the Director of Office of Divine Worship for the Diocese of Grand Rapdis whose lecture is titled: The Problem of Religious Liberty: The Role of the Church in a Confessionally Divided State.Dr. Sanders holds a Ph.D. in Theology from the University of Notre Dame. His graduate studies focused on the theological controversies of the Early Modern period, including such topics as the doctrine of justification, sacramental theology, and the place of the Church within a confessionally divided political order. He currently serves the Diocese of Grand Rapids as director of the Office for Worship, which supports liturgical life in the diocese by means of ministry training and catechesis.
