Jesus told St. Faustina:
Souls perish in spite of My bitter Passion. I am giving them the last hope of salvation, that is, the Feast of My Mercy (Diary 965).
In her Diary, St. Faustina records the Lord’s promises of specific, extraordinary graces:
I want to grant a complete pardon to the souls that will go to Confession* and receive Holy Communion on the Feast of My mercy (1109).
Whoever approaches the Fountain of Life on this day will be granted complete forgiveness of sins and punishment (300).
The soul that will go to Confession* and receive Holy Communion will obtain complete forgiveness of sins and punishment (699).
To receive these graces, the only condition is to receive Holy Communion worthily on Divine Mercy Sunday (or the Vigil celebration) by making a good confession beforehand and staying in the state of grace and trusting in His Divine Mercy.
Opportunities for Confession at Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish:
- Fridays from 3pm-4pm (during holy hour)
- Saturdays from 3pm – 4:30pm
- Sundays during the 9:30am and 11:30am Masses, when possible
- April 3 from 5pm-8pm (and many other parishes)
- Holy Thursday at 8am
- Good Friday from noon – 1:45pm
- Holy Saturday from 9am – 11:50am (line closes at 11:25am)

*Cardinal Macharski, the Archbishop of St. Faustina’s own archdiocese of Krakow, Poland, clarified the timeframe for confession in his pastoral letter dated January 30, 1985. The requirement of confession may be fulfilled some time in Lent, or after Lent, rather than on Divine Mercy Sunday.
